The European Union president is courting Liverpool with the English Premier League title

Slovenian UEFA President UEFA Alexander Chaverin said on Monday that Liverpool will be the Premier League champion, whatever the fate of the tournament that was suspended due to the outbreak of the new Corona virus.

"It is impossible for Liverpool not to be a champion. If the games are played, he is almost certain to win the title. In theory he has not won the title yet, but he certainly can," he said.

He continued: "If the matches cannot be played, we will need to find a way and a key on which to announce the results and determine the winners. I do not see any scenario in which Liverpool is not (a hero)."

And Liverpool finds itself this season closer than ever to winning the title after 30 years of waiting, if it leads the standings with 82 points, and 25 points behind its pursuit of Manchester City, who played less.

The red team could have won the title in the next match against its neighbor Everton in the thirtieth stage, provided that City lost to its host Burnley, before the matches were suspended due to the Corona virus.

The Confederation president stated: "I realize that the fans will be disappointed if the matches are played in an empty stadium or even if the issue is resolved on the table (referring to a decision by decision and not the outcome of the matches on the stadium), but I think that he (Liverpool) in one way or another will win the title ".

Covid-19 suspended most of the game's competitions in Europe and the world, amid uncertainty over when health conditions would allow the matches to be restarted.

UEFA has not commented on a possible date for the resumption of local and continental championships, and confirmed that it is working on several scenarios. However, Chevirin previously warned of the possibility of losing the season if it could not be resumed by late June.

Asked about the possibility of holding summer matches in the Italy and Spain tournaments (the two countries most affected by the virus in the world in terms of deaths), Chiverin replied, "I am optimistic about seeing the end of the Spanish championship, and I am also optimistic about the Italian championship. Of course, I cannot promise any Thing".

He stressed that restarting the matches depended "on the situation in the two countries, all of which will depend on whether the conditions are safe enough to play football without endangering anyone."

Asked if the criteria were set by which the champion or the final arrangement of the championships would be established in the event that they were not resumed, he said, "No, we did not do that. We are preparing for even such a scenario but we have not started working on it. And we are still fully committed to moving forward." Until you finish the tournaments. "

Mercedes team publishes respirator designs to help combat Corona

Mercedes, the world champion of Formula One, announced on Tuesday that it has developed new breathing apparatus designs, developed by the British Health Services, to help those infected with the "Covid-19" virus. CPAP helps patients with breathing difficulties with a lung infection for whom oxygen masks are not enough. And gives the device the possibility not to put patients in the intensive care units and not intubate. The British government has ordered 10,000 of these devices, which are produced across 40 machines, at an average of 1,000 a day at the Mercedes Technical Center in Brixworth, in central England. After being based at Brixworth, the cell that built the engines that led the team to monopolizing the manufacturers and drivers titles from 2014 to 2019, the Mercedes team joined the "Project Bitline" campaign by developing a respirator in a joint venture with University College London ("University College London"). The leaders of the Premier League teams are getting closer to creating a fund to tackle Corona

English Premier League club leaders are close to reaching agreement on setting up a charity fund to help health organizations in England tackle the emerging Corona virus (Covid-19), The Guardian reported on Wednesday. The newspaper reported that the team leaders spent the last days in talks on reaching a decision regarding the formation of a charitable fund to confront Corona. The newspaper added that one of the discussions centered on how to present the contribution of each club leader, bearing in mind that some club leaders receive higher salaries than others, and ensuring that those who cannot contribute with equal amount with them will not appear as the least contributing. The newspaper added that the proposed solution to this, was the arrival of donations for each club leader separately to the main fund in an unknown manner, to reach later to the local bodies contributing to facing Corona. The London captain, Jordan Henderson, Manchester United...
